Practical Work Experience
As part of the Practical Accounts Assistant Training programme, students will be provided with the opportunity to gain real workplace accounting experience in a professional business environment.
Students may be placed within one of our offices or introduced to one of our employer partners to gain exposure to real accounting and bookkeeping work. During the work experience period, students will have the opportunity to perform actual accounting tasks and work with real business documents and Excel spreadsheets used in finance departments.
This practical experience may include:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Recording receipts and payments
- Bank reconciliation
- Maintaining customer and supplier records
- Ledger entries and bookkeeping tasks
- Working with accounting spreadsheets and reports
- Supporting day-to-day finance administration tasks
The purpose of this work experience is to help students develop confidence, improve workplace skills, and gain practical exposure to accounting processes used by employers.
Upon successful completion of the practical work experience, students will be provided with a Certificate of Practical Accounts Experience to support their CV and future job applications.
